Indian Creek Homes are located in Travis County, in Apache Shores, between Lakeway and Lake Austin, near Mansfield Dam on Lake Travis. Schools are Lake Travis ISD. Electricity is from Austin Energy, water from Travis County Water Control and Improvement District 17, fire by Hudson Bend VFD (located at General Williamson Drive and Ranch Road 620, at the entrance to Apache Shores).

The Apache Shores Property Owners Association is very active in supporting the maintenance and needs of the community. This support includes road maintenance, a code enforcement officer, building permit requirements, new construction building code enforcement and the maintenance and upkeep of the community pool, boat ramp, meeting facility, tennis courts, greenbelt, hiking trail and Lake Apache.

The  Travis County Water Control and Improvement District Number 17 (WCID 17) is responsible for drinking water and fire water services through existing and upgrade water service lines throughout Apache Shores. WCID 17 also maintains a plumbing permit requirements and new construction code enforcement authority in the area.
