An engineer is an “applied scientist” who takes science and creates solutions to everyday problems.
We take climate science and apply it to problems to determine solutions. We have worked with local, state and national organizations to determine appropriate climate policy that is relevant to the most leading edge climate science.
Our primary research is on drought and why, when it is raining more, we are getting less water in our lakes in Central Texas. Our filmwork includes sea level rise, ice loss in Greenland, wildfires and forest issues.

The Climate Change Now Initiative is a nonprofit science education organization (501c3) that is designed to enhance public knowledge of the latest climate science and impacts of climate change.
Founded in 2005, the Initiative was a part of Melton Engineering Services Austin until 2014 when our IRS nonprofit designation was approved. To better serve as a nonprofit services provider, the Climate Change Now Initiative has launched Climate Change Engineering.
